The ABC's of Fundraising

Women-founded startups raised 1.9% of all VC funds in 2022 (or $4.5 billion) out of around the $238.3 billion in venture capital allocated. Overall, Black entrepreneurs typically receive less than 2% of all VC dollars each year while companies led by Black women receive about 0.3%.

I raised $600,000 in Venture Capital funding in 2020 during a global pandemic when Black women raised less than 0.1% that year. I'm also a 2X Angel Investor in early-stage tech startups valued at $81M+. Strategy is everything and I understand both sides of the fundraising equation.
